These two are the closest competitors in this comparison to each other and to us: one key, many social platforms, one response shape, credits that do not expire. When two vendors make the same promise, the price stops being the differentiator and the legibility of the price takes over.
So this page is mostly about reading two pricing pages carefully, including one that does not resolve on first reading.
What ScrapeCreators costs
| Plan | Price | Credits | Per 1,000 requests, as published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100, plus up to 7,000 claimable | — |
| Freelance | $47 | 25,000 | $1.88 / 1k |
| Business | $497 | 500,000 | $0.99 / 1k |
| Enterprise | custom | 1M+ | custom |
Terms stated on the page: credits never expire, cached results are free, no credit card on the self-serve tiers, 38+ APIs spanning TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest and Threads among others.
That is a rate card you can multiply without asking anyone a question.
What SocialCrawl costs
| Plan | Price | Credits, as listed |
|---|---|---|
| Free | £0 | 100, one-time |
| Starter | £15 | 2,500 |
| Growth | £49 | 8,000 or 20,000 |
| Pro | £299 | 50,000 or 150,000 |
| Enterprise | contact | custom |
Terms: "one-time credits that never expire, no subscription", "1 credit for a standard call, more for composite endpoints", 645 APIs across 68 platforms, no card on the free tier.
⚠️ Those prices are in pounds, and we are not converting them. An exchange rate is not something we read on their page, and a converted figure would look like a quoted price while being our arithmetic on a rate that moves daily. If you are comparing budgets, convert at your own rate on your own day — do not take a number for it from a comparison post, including this one.
⚠️ Two credit amounts for one price, and how to tell which is real
The Growth and Pro rows each list two figures. One price cannot buy two different amounts, so one reading is wrong — and their own page settles it.
Growth is advertised as 60% cheaper per credit than Starter, and Pro as 67% cheaper. Test both readings against the Starter rate:
Starter £15 ÷ 2,500 = £0.00600 per credit (the baseline)
Growth £49 ÷ 8,000 = £0.00613 → 0% cheaper. 2% MORE expensive
Growth £49 ÷ 20,000 = £0.00245 → 59% cheaper ✓ matches "60%"
Pro £299 ÷ 50,000 = £0.00598 → 0% cheaper
Pro £299 ÷ 150,000 = £0.00199 → 67% cheaper ✓ matches "67%"
Both discount claims only hold on the larger number, and they hold to within a point. So the credits are almost certainly 20,000 and 150,000, and the smaller figures are the per-plan allowances of something else on the page.
That arithmetic is ours. We are not publishing it as their rate card — we are publishing the method, because a page that needs it is a page you should read twice before committing a quarter's budget.
What is actually comparable
Not the money, until you pick an exchange rate. What compares directly is everything else:
| ScrapeCreators | SocialCrawl | |
|---|---|---|
| Credits expire | no | no |
| Subscription required | no, pay as you go | no, one-time credits |
| Cached repeats | free | not stated |
| Unit | credit; composite calls cost more | credit; composite calls cost more |
| Published per-1,000 rate | yes, $1.88 and $0.99 | no — derived from plan rows |
| Currency | USD | GBP |
| Breadth | 38+ APIs | 645 endpoints, 68 platforms |
| Free entry | 100 + up to 7,000 claimable | 100, one-time |
The two genuine differences: ScrapeCreators publishes a per-thousand rate and charges nothing for cached reads; SocialCrawl covers roughly twice the platforms and prices in sterling.
Where each one wins
ScrapeCreators wins on arithmetic you can do before you buy, and on the free
cache — which is worth more than it sounds for anything that re-reads the same
profiles on a schedule. A published $0.99 / 1k at the Business tier is a number
you can put in a forecast.
SocialCrawl wins on raw coverage. 68 platforms is more than either we or ScrapeCreators offer, and if your requirement names a network outside the mainstream, breadth is the only thing that matters. The one-time credit model also suits a project with a defined end.
Neither publishes a field-level contract, which is the one thing we will claim below.
Where we fit, and we are the smallest of the three
HonestHook covers twelve social platforms. That is fewer than ScrapeCreators and far fewer than SocialCrawl, and it is the honest headline of this section.
What we sell instead of breadth is
a published per-field contract: the same field in the same
place on all twelve, or null with a stated reason — never a 0 standing in for
"we could not read it". Every route lists what it does not return and why.
| Platforms | Credits expire | Per-call rate published | Field contract | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ScrapeCreators | 38+ APIs | no | yes | no |
| SocialCrawl | 68 | no | derived | no |
| HonestHook | 12 | no | yes | yes, per field |
If breadth is the requirement, buy breadth. We are not going to argue that twelve platforms substitutes for sixty-eight.
The thing none of the three sells
An hourly archive of what is rising, kept and never deleted.
All three of us answer what is this profile now. Only an archive answers what accelerated — and it is also why we cover twelve instead of sixty-eight. Capturing hourly across twelve platforms is already the entire job, and a coverage number is cheap next to a measurement you cannot take retroactively.

ScrapeCreators' four tiers with prices, credit allowances, the $1.88 and $0.99 per-1,000 rates, the "38+ APIs" figure, the no-card terms and the "credits never expire" and "cached results are free" wording read from scrapecreators.com on 3 October 2026 — primary source. SocialCrawl's five plan rows with prices in pounds, the credit figures exactly as listed including the two-value Growth and Pro rows, the "60% cheaper" and "67% cheaper" claims, the "645 APIs across 68 platforms" figure and the "one-time credits that never expire, no subscription" and "1 credit for a standard call" wording read from socialcrawl.dev on 3 October 2026 — primary source. The per-credit divisions and the test of the two readings against the discount claims are our arithmetic on those published figures, labelled as ours in the body; we did not convert sterling to dollars. Verify before deciding.
