Public Bluesky profile: followers, following, post count, bio. Official AT Protocol public API, no key and no account.

Parameters

Anchor: did (did:plc or did:web)

Measured

634 bytes on the wire in the sample measured 2026-09-10. Profile payload size varies with the content of the profile — it is not a constant of the platform, and we do not quote it as one.

Cost

1 credit per call. A call that finds nothing costs nothing.

Does this need a Bluesky account or key?

No. The AT Protocol exposes public profiles without either. That is why this route exists and why it costs one credit.

Why is the DID the anchor and not the handle?

A handle on Bluesky can change. The DID cannot. Anchoring on the handle would let a renamed account read as a different one.
