HonestHook MCP server in Claude Desktop
Claude Desktop adds remote servers through Connectors, in Settings — not through a file. The connection is brokered by your Claude account.
The steps
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it HonestHook.
- Paste the server URL: https://honesthook.com/api/mcp
- Choose No sign in — the anonymous tools need no key.
- Click Add.
`claude_desktop_config.json` takes local servers only, so there is no file to paste this into. And the call reaches us from Anthropic's servers, not from your machine — which matters if you were planning to point a client at something only your network can see.
The server exposes 12 tools, 5 of them with no key and no credits — the full list, and what each one returns, is on the integrations index. The endpoint reference is on the docs page.
No sign in is the right choice for the anonymous tools. Add a key later, in the same connector, when you want it to read real profiles.
