Read a public GitHub user: followers, following, public repo count and bio, from the official user object.

What it reads

Route	`GET /api/v1/github/profile`

Surface	api.github.com (official, authenticated)
Handle format	GitHub username: letters, digits and single hyphens, up to 39 characters, not starting or ending with a hyphen.

Caveat from the source	user object

Measured on 2026-10-02 through our own normalizer, this field came back 325,971 — not null. Source of the measurement: GET api.github.com/users/torvalds, 2026-10-02 (subiu 11 no mesmo dia).

Captured from GET api.github.com/users/torvalds (ao vivo). Fields that came back null are omitted, and long strings are cut with an ellipsis for display — the API returns them whole.
