ScrapeCreators is the closest competitor to our own thesis: vendor-owned social endpoints, pay-as-you-go, credits that do not expire. If you are looking for an alternative to them, the honest first sentence is that their pricing page is the most straightforward one in this family.
We have a full page on ScrapeCreators. This page answers why you would leave.
What it costs today
⚠️ Their /pricing returned HTTP 404 when we read it today. The figures
below are from their home page, which is where the plans live.
| Plan | Price | Credits | Their published rate | Our check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100, plus up to 7,000 claimable bonus | — | — |
| Freelance | $47 | 25,000 | "$1.88 / 1k requests" | 47 ÷ 25,000 = $1.8800 ✓ |
| Business | $497 | 500,000 | "$0.99 / 1k requests" | 497 ÷ 500,000 = $0.9940 ✓ |
| Enterprise | custom | 1M+ | — | — |
"All 38+ APIs included" on every plan. Credits never expire, no card, pay-as-you-go rather than a subscription.
⚠️ Both published rates survive the division, and that is worth saying out loud. Most vendors in this family publish a "from" that is the floor of their cheapest case — Oxylabs prints $0.40 per 1,000 for Amazon while an ordinary target costs $0.95–$1.15, and HikerAPI headlines $0.60 when entry is $1.00. Here the cover number is the number.
Reason 1: 38+ APIs when you needed four
Breadth is a promise, and a wide promise is harder to keep. Every platform is a parser that breaks on its own schedule, and a catalogue you do not open is overhead you still pay for in choosing.
What fixes it: fewer platforms, deliberately. We cover twelve, derived from the live catalogue — Bluesky, GitHub, Instagram, Linktree, Mastodon, Medium, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Hacker News — and we publish what each one actually fills, field by field. Or go narrower still: HikerAPI is Instagram only, with 100+ endpoints on that one platform.
What does not fix it: SocialCrawl claims 67 platforms and Social Fetch 24 — more breadth, not less. And Apify is tens of thousands of Actors, which is the same objection at a different scale.
Reason 2: it answers now, and you needed what changed
Every API on this page — ours included — answers what is this profile right now. None of them answers what gained traction last week, because an API cannot be queried about a moment nobody recorded.
What fixes it: an hourly archive, kept and never deleted. It is the one thing on this page that cannot be added later, and it is why we cover twelve platforms instead of thirty-eight: capturing hourly across twelve is already the whole job.

Where ScrapeCreators is better than we are
Reddit, X and Facebook. Three of the platforms in their catalogue are platforms we do not serve, and two of them — Reddit and X — are the most-searched gaps in this market. We say plainly that we do not have them.
Price per call, above our free tier. $1.88 per thousand on a pay-as-you-go balance that never expires is a good number, and for a buyer whose only question is cost per profile lookup, it is a better buy than we are.
No subscription at all. You buy credits and they wait for you. We have the same property on purchased balance, but they have it on everything.
A free tier that can reach 7,100 credits with the claimable bonus — larger than our 1,000 a month for a first month of evaluation.
Where we are better, stated narrowly
The hourly archive. Not a feature difference, a category difference: they can add thirty-nine APIs and still not answer what rose.
A published per-field contract. Twelve platforms, field by field,
with every null explained — Linktree returns followers: null by decision,
because a link list is not an account someone follows. We did not read their
schema and we are not going to characterise it from a platform count.
A renewing free allowance, 1,000 credits every month rather than once.
If breadth and cost-per-call are the whole requirement, ScrapeCreators is a better buy than we are, and this page is the wrong place to pretend otherwise.

ScrapeCreators plan prices, credit counts, the two published per-1,000 rates,
the "All 38+ APIs included" wording, the never-expiring credits and the free
tier read from scrapecreators.com on 3 October 2026 — primary source, read
directly from the page. Their /pricing path returned HTTP 404 on that date;
the figures are from the home page. The division checks in the first table
are ours. Our own 12 platforms are derived from the live route catalogue, not
typed. Verify before deciding.
